What Is Depression?

Depression is more than feeling sad or going through a rough patch—it is a serious medical condition. Symptoms may include persistent sadness or emptiness, loss of interest or pleasure in daily activities, changes in appetite or sleep, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, and even recurring thoughts of self-harm. It can affect anyone, at any stage of life.

Our Approach

Comprehensive Assessment

Your journey begins with a full evaluation. We listen to your story, explore medical, family, and psychosocial history, and assess the severity and impact of symptoms. This helps us create a clear picture of your needs.

Personalized Treatment Plan

Every individual is unique. Based on your assessment, we’ll design a plan tailored for you. It may include one or more of the following:

  • Psychotherapy – Talk therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), or other modalities focused on changing negative thinking patterns, improving coping skills, and building emotional resilience.
  • Medication Management – When appropriate, antidepressant medications may be used. We carefully monitor effects, side effects, and work with you to find the right dosage.
  • Lifestyle and Wellness Support – Sleep hygiene, physical activity, nutrition, stress management, and social connection all play a key role in recovery.
  • Supportive Services – Peer support, group therapy, or family involvement when helpful.
